Taco Bell launches global campaign to celebrate menu icon: The brand will give away a Crunchy Taco on May 4, when a moon phase occurs that they have called “Taco Moon”. This is the brand’s first global campaign, devised by Edelman, and which will be active in markets.
The California Taco Bell network, whose menu is inspired by Mexican cuisine, will present consumers with the brand icon, the taco, next Tuesday, May 4. Throughout the day, in any order for delivery, Brazilian customers will win a Crunchy Taco.
The “Taco Moon” campaign is carried out worldwide. The allusion to the moon (“moon”, in English) occurs because of the resemblance of it to a taco twice a month. In the campaign that will be released the day before the promotion, on Monday, the brand invites customers to observe the moon.
The taco is prepared with wheat tortilla, ground beef or beans, cheese, plate, and lettuce and can be ordered on the main delivery platforms (iFood, Uber Eats, and Rappi) and on the brand’s own app.

“We are very excited to launch our first global campaign using the greatest influencer in the world as the narrative: the moon”, celebrates Valérie Kalil, Marketing Manager at Taco Bell Brasil. “We believe that the ‘Taco Moon’ movement will encourage consumers to identify tacos from now on, not just on the moon, but everywhere.”
The “Taco Moon” campaign is the kick-start to an even bigger global initiative, the “I See Tacos” campaign, which invites consumers to share their experiences with taco using the hashtag #EuVejoTacos on Instagram and Facebook. In addition to the promotional action on May 4, Taco Bell plans a series of activations with digital influencers and will present news on the menu in May.
The campaign is carried out simultaneously in more than 30 countries. The network created in 1962 by Glen Bell counts today. with more than 7,000, with more than 6,500 stores in the United States alone.
The company points out that the units are operating with all protocols to offer a safe experience. In Brazil, there are about 30 units. Stay in touch with Tellthebell.ninja for the more latest news on the taco bell store.
